|    Dr 
                    Paul T. Rose, MD is an internationally recognized leader in 
                    the field of hair replacement. He is noted for his work in 
                    the development of Follicular Unit Transplantation as well 
                    as techniques for achieving a natural hairline. Dr Rose lectures 
                    extensively and has written numerous articles on hair replacement. 
                    He has written several chapters in books concerning dermatologic 
                    surgery, scalp reduction and extensive scalp lifting. Most 
                    recently he has contributed to the latest edition of the book 
                    entitled "Hair Transplantation" edited by Drs. Unger 
                    and Shapiro.
 Dr Rose is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He did his residency 
                    training at Temple University Skin and Cancer Hospital in 
                    Philadelphia.He received his medical degree from the State 
                    University of New York Downstate Medical Center and did his 
                    internship at the University of Connecticut Medical Center. Dr Rose is active in clinical research and has a position 
                    on the clinical faculty of the University of South Florida 
                    Department of Dermatology. In collaboration with Dr Michael 
                    Morgan, Dr Rose recently completed a study on the variation 
                    in apoptosis (controlled cell death) at the occipital as opposed 
                    to the frontal region of the scalp in male pattern baldness. 
                    This work was presented at the last meeting of the International 
                    Society of Hair Transplant Surgeons in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico, 
                    October 2001 and the findings have been submitted for publication. 
                    Dr Rose is also involved with teaching the dermatology residents 
                    various aspects of surgery. Dr Rose has been very active in the International Society 
                    of Hair Replacement Physicians. He has lectured at many of 
                    the meetings and has served as the director of the Beginner's 
                    Course. In 2000 Dr Rose was privileged to serve as the Chairman 
                    of the Scientific Program for the ISHRS meeting in Hawaii. 
                    He has also served on several committees including the scientific 
                    program committee, live workshop committee and the pro bono 
                    committee. At the last meeting of the ISHRS Dr Rose was elected 
                    to the Board of Governors. Dr Rose is also known for his work with laser surgery and 
                    liposuction. He was elected to the Board of Governors of the 
                    International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons
